Having leased office space in the same building with the same landlord for decades, our client had developed a strong relationship with his building owner. As their lease approached expiry, A+M was contracted to:
- Analyze their business
- Carefully review their existing lease
- Confirm that they had not been overcharged over the past 20 years
- Identify comparable available space elsewhere in the marketplace
- Secure a lease for their offices.
Upon completing our analysis, we concluded that despite the rising rents in the submarket, an aggressive renewal could be achieved. Ultimately, we did recast our clientís lease for their existing offices, and achieved a 24% discount.
